Alexander Shumilin – Belarusian products of precision engineering are not inferior to the world analogues

Belarusian developments in the field of hi-tech projection optical systems are well known far beyond the borders of the country, and precision engineering products are not inferior to the world analogues at considerably lower cost. This was announced by Alexanderr Shumilin, the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, while visiting the JSC “Optoelectronic Systems” of the holding company “Planar”. According to him, the company is included in the list of high-tech industries and implements a number of tasks in the framework of several state scientific and technical programs. Thus, there is a development of precision coordinating nanopositioning systems X, Y, Z with the hardware and software management tools for analytical systems used in various fields of science and technology within the SSTP “High Technologies and Equipment” for 2016 - 2020.

The technologies of an analytical system of optical control of microelectronic products such as “system in package” and the manufacture of an element base of laser rangefinders, working in the eye-safe range of 1.5 microns with an increased radiation resistance are developed within the SSTP “Machine-Building and Machine-Building Technologies” for 2016 – 2020. The production of automated optical system for assembly equipment using a vision system in microelectronic manufacturing and an analytical complex control of elements of integrated circuits on the basis of registration of photon emission is scheduled for the SSTP “Microelectronics” for 2016-2020.

In his turn, Alexander Rogozhnik, the director of JSC “Optoelectronic Systems” of the holding “Planar”, said that 17 units of new equipment were created during the implementation of all types of programs and innovative projects in 2011 - 2015. ‘The growth rate of commodity output amounted to 351% and the revenue growth rate of product sales was 445%, while the growth rate of exports was 357% in 2010-2015’, he said. By the way, the growth rate of commodity output amounted to 112% and the revenue growth rate of product sales was 123% in January – September of this year.

It should also be noted that the JSC “Optoelectronic Systems” of holding “Planar” carried out research and production project activities in the framework of the state scientific and technical program “Microelectronics” and “Standards and Scientific Instruments” in 2011-2015.  As a result, scanning microscopes SPM-200 and SMM-200 and an automated station MA-300 designed for the control of integrated circuits on semiconductor wafers, test benches of precision parameters, as well as a body of hardware of the experimental system for the analysis of sensory activity of thin-film materials and other high-tech equipment were developed. In addition, an innovative project “Establishment and Development of Production of Microscopes, Inspection Systems, Microinspection Stations for Nanodiagnostics, Biotechnology and Material Science” was implemented and funded by the Belarusian Innovation Fund in 2011 - 2015.

The Chairman of the SCST Alexander Shumilin also visited a number of other enterprises of the holding “Planar”: the JSC “KBTEM-OMO” and the JSC “Electronmash”, where he familiarized himself with the production of optical-mechanical equipment and products of cardiac surgery.
